We are delighted to announce that Members of the CBN team - Daniel Heery and Adrian Wooster - are hosting a workshop at each of the NextGen 11 Roadshows on Localism and Broadband. The workshop looks at examples of how comunities can work in partnership with local authorities to develop community owned networks.

You can hear us in Edinburgh on 12 May, Kent 20 May, Essex 21 June and Notthingam 6 July.

The NextGen event programme will build towards the NextGen 11 Conference in November - 2011 is the year we sense when the local network access market emerges as the UK’s ‘infrastructure for innovation, enterprise and growth’.

Now in its 4th year NextGen was created by the Community Broadband Network (CBN) in anticipation of the need to transform the UK's broadband infrastructure and to showcase key players in this new market. The need for economic growth, local enterprise and innovation, together with far greater public-private collaboration has focused attention on the urgency of local network investment.
